I can't help but think about the transience of human relationships.
One moment, you're so into someone and do all kinds of things with them, cherish the firsts and all that. Everything is lovely and everything is close to perfect. You sleep with a smile and wake up wanting the day to not end. There is anticipation and excitement. And you feel good.
The next, you're in disintegration. You're trying to untangle yourself from the memories and keep it all away from you. You are bitter. And everything that reminds you of that person irks you. You are a mess. You cry yourself to sleep and wake up feeling like crap. Nothing makes sense. And you're left alone to pick up the pieces.
How do you begin to forget someone you used to care for deeply? How do you just wake up not caring anymore?
