There's this scene in my head. I don't know whether I dreamt it or imagined it.
I can see the shore, where the sand and the sea meet. I can hear the calm waves crashing into each other. I hear the soft giggles and laughter. I hear the soft sound of a guitar playing. I see a white dress, falling softly against the white grains on this beach. And I see the nervous smile of this guy who's wondering why there's this girl in front of him. A moment to ponder, she is his dream, his forever, and he wouldn't want to look into the eyes of any other. A tear runs down his cheek as she lifts her head to meet his eyes. And there it is, the smile that captured his heart when they first met on that cold October morning.
She had tears in her eyes, too. Struggling to keep everything in, she looks into the eyes of the guy who promised her forever. Theirs is an unlikely love story that almost didn't happen. But it did. And they're here now, a two years and a half later. Right on the spot where she hit him with a beach volleyball. Right where their eyes first met.
