Picking things up where you left them off. There are times when you know you can get back to where you were before. Just like biking. You can stop biking for a while, but once you ride it again, you'll remember what it feels like, you'll remember how. And it will be like no time ever passed. But that isn't the case in real life. There are things you never go back to. People you may never talk to again. Or maybe you'll talk. But it'll be awkward and uncertain and unnatural. It will be forced.

But the magic is when you can be where you were, exactly where you left, with someone. Like nothing's changed. And you'll just tell each other about what's happened in your lives. And it's not about laying everything that's happened in your life. It's about knowing that even if you haven't been involved that much in each other's lives, you can wait for each other to reveal the chapters that's happened. It wouldn't be rushed. You'll take time in enjoying each other's company again and you'll allow conversation to flow. That's how it is with really good friends. ;)
