2015

It's gonna be a badass year: YEAR OF THE CAT =)

It's been quite a year, 2014. I've been to amazing places. I've met new people. We had a crisis of sorts. Something you never thought would happen to someone in your family just blew up. And it did open up this reality that was just in my peripheral vision in college. I'd like to think that I learned a thing, or two this past year.

2014 is a year of getting used to; getting used to work, to not seeing people, to becoming an adult, to prioritizing things. It's just a big fat year for adjustments.

Now, 2015 will be a good one. It's my year!! I was born in 1991: year of the sheep. Not that I believe any of the predictions lined up for this year. I actually have not read any. 2014 has been an adjustment year so everything was blurry, Of course, it still has its greatest hits. This year, I'll make sure that I go through 2015 consciously making the most of everyday!

  • This is the year of travel. It doesn't have to be too faraway or in the province. Just get up and see all the sights, and places I want to see.
  • This is the year of overreaching. I have been wanting to achieve more than what I am doing right now. And it's about time I start walking the walk. Generation Y is a generation of overachievers. Those who dare to do more with their time. Those who dream to become more than one thing.
  • This is the year of learning how to save. I have a job, yes. The salary isn't way up there. But I can live with that. I also have to start a strategy to keep my money in my bank account and not out of it.
  • This is the year of maturity. In all aspects of life. Especially, interpersonal relationships. Someone has been repeatedly telling me that I should enhance my internal locus of control. I have a habit of letting my environment affect me more than it should. And this year, I hope to master the art of the "keber sa nega" vibe.
  • This is the year of choosing relationships wisely. To seek out the people I want to keep in my life. It's time for more meaningful friendships. And less of the plastic ones. Ones you keep just because. :)
  • This is the year of risks!

Cheers to 2015!
