The second half of the year brought a lot of changes in my life aka here, have a look at more pictures!

July was a bit meh in photos. It started off a bit sad with my granduncle's passing. It kind of sunk in that my grandparents are getting old. Time doesn't stop for anyone. And this was also my last month at my previous job. On a positive note, I signed with another company!! I also got my second godchild: I stood as godmother for one of my cousins. They're all way younger than me, anyway. And, lastly for July, I also enrolled as a graduate student this month! Hello UP!!! 🌻🌻🌻🌻
A U G U S T
Officially started school and started at my new job! Honestly, the decision-making that went into joining a company where my boyfriend also worked at was a tough one. One big factor why I accepted the offer was that we weren't going to be in the same team. I'm still in HR while he's chosen to take on a totally different position. The second thing I considered was that I was going back to where I want to be in HR: in learning and development. When I graduated, I didn't even want to work in HR. But an opportunity landed on my lap and here we are almost five years later, I'm still in HR! Going back, there is this huge adjustment period where we have to delineate our work lives from our personal relationship. We aren't sick of each other yet so I guess we're all good. 😅

I was cast in a play earlier in the year. And our show date fell on Shannen's birthday. So for his birthday, we had a shoot at one of our free-standing stores. I was the make-up artist for the models (NAKS! Totally out of my comfort zone but payed off, I guess!).

After the shoot, I went straight to UP for the rehearsals and make-up prep. I played the part of Reyna Babaita, the queen of the black pieces on a chessboard. Basically, while Reyna Maja Blanca (White Queen) and I were busy calling each other names and shouting at each other, our soldiers found the time to introspect on how they will fare once all the other officials are gone: they are unimportant and they'll die on the battlefield next. Amidst this chaotic war, a third player, Empress Vivora from the land of Snakes and Ladders, wanted to conquer the chessboard for her land's expansion. The queens must now vanquish a common enemy but will they be able to rise above their petty war to defeat the conquistador? That's the gist of it all. We had a full audience despite the rain!

On my second month with the barkada and I got dragged to go to the tree planting activity! I tried to take Shannen with me but he really didn't want to go. It was fun! All we had to do was put the saplings in the hole on the ground and bury them. 🌳

For my birthday, we went to visit Cubao X for dinner and then took the MRT to get to Vertis North for UP Underground's anniversary show! The next day, I went home to force my family to eat GW products 😂

First major event with the Barkada! I got to see the whole Main Office together: both during the fellowship night and the more cerebral sessions! The two-day event was basically a three-in-one activity: the Summit proper, the fellowship night, and the team building.

I was part of the organizing committee for the HR Christmas Party! We had some games at the Jollibee Center and went bowling after.

I was also a part of the organizing committee for the Children's Day: Santa's Little Workshop of GW! I was in charge of the program. I had my cousins attend the event with my sister😀 Funnily enough, my sister said that she thought I was the main organizer of the event since the program had story-telling and the giveaways were books. 🤓📚

Found the time to meet up with friends! Not in picture, my girls' night with a couple of blockmates! I wasn't able to squeeze in the night out with BPI Training people cos I don't like last minute scheduling of stuff and I had the week planned out (sorry 😔)! But I hope to see them 1st quarter of 2018!

This was also the first time I got to tag along to Nasugbu to visit Shannen's paternal grandparents. It was a long drive! We stopped by Tagaytay on our way back for dinner.
