I don't know

Looking through the notebooks I used to write in took me back to those days. I was taken aback by how naive and shallow I sounded. The thing about high school  is you think you know the whole spectrum of human emotion. It's all about how someone made your day or how someone took your breath away. It's also about why some dude won't like you or how that other dude broke your heart. But that doesn't mean that these aren't real problems; they were very real as they happened. It wasn't that they weren't complicated; they were. 

I just know that I see things differently now. I have this whole new perspective of how certain things affect me and the reasons why they are. I don't know if that system is working for me. But what I do know is that I have come a long way from that girl who was so caught up with the things she couldn't control. :)))
